After years of dreaming and planning, the future is now at Saint Louis University. The new Chaifetz Arena is sure to be the center of campus life a true home court for the Billiken basketball teams and state-of-the-art showcase for concerts and other events. The Arena is named for University alumnus and Chairman and CEO of ComPsych Corporation, Dr. Richard A. Chaifetz.

TSI is proud to be part of the Chaifetz Arena as an AV Partner to include our responsibilities for the Audio, Broadcast and SMATV system.  TSI supplied a Design Assist Solution for Saint Louis University.

The Audio System consist of The Main Bowl of 74 speakers , Concourse, Event level, Suite Level, Event Club, Press Lounge, Loading Dock, Lobby Ticket Window, 2 multipurpose rooms, Strength and Conditioning, Classrooms, and Portable systems totaling 250 speakers. All the areas of audio are connected via Ethernet and Cobra net systems and DSP. The main Audio booth supports a Digital 32 channel mixer along with inputs for wireless microphones, CD, IPod docking station, and 2 computers and 2 monitors  for monitoring the DSP and amplifiers in real-time.

Broadcast encompasses all the connectivity for the local Broadcasters and National Broadcasters. There are 14 JBT locations and 20 JBE locations converged into a central patch location. The locations include the Bowl, Floor Tunnels, Press room, Practice facility, Dock, and Building Exterior. The signal usages require Fiber, Coax, Cat5e and Cat6a along with standard microphones/line audio cable. Standard fiber interfaces are incorporated as required.
The requirements allow for the broadcasters to send and receive Video and Audio signals throughout the facility.

SMATV SYSTEM has approx 115 locations to support the Broadcast locations along with the locations for TV/LCDs. The backbone of the SMATV supports a Cable Channel System with filtering and integrating a Direct TV Satellite System. The TV locations include Suites, Concourse, Press rooms, locker rooms, green rooms, ticket windows, multipurpose rooms, Arena Store, classrooms, and strength and conditioning.
